Mental Health Awareness Month

May 28, 2021

Join hosts Maya 'MC' Carey (they/them) and Stephanie Mobley (she/her) for this month's episode of Transforming Together the HopeWorks Podcast. In this episode we celebrate May as Mental Health Awareness month and we are joined by HopeWorks intern and mental health advocate, Ariane Cottman, for an authentic discussion around our own mental health, mental health hygiene, community care, and envisioning a world where mental health is supported everywhere. We open up about our own relationship with mental health both from the perspective as individuals struggling to find balance with our mental health and as service providers. Join us in this deeply authentic and healing conversation.

In this episode they discuss everything from what sex work is and isn’t, to myths and facts, to unpacking policies that affect sex workers like SESTA/FOSTA and the criminalization of sex work. As always, Maya and Stephanie look at support for sex workers rights through the lens of Transformative Justice and Abolition.
